Switch to Pigeon

Switching to Pigeon is easier than you think

Bring your list, connect your domain, and send your first campaign - all in under 30 minutes.

Why people switch

Sound familiar?

Mailchimp raised prices again

Mailchimp has changed its pricing model multiple times. Many users now pay for contacts they can't even email. Pigeon charges only for active subscribers and never limits how much you send.

My plan has send limits

Many platforms cap how many emails you can send per month. Pigeon has no monthly send limits on any plan - send as often as your audience needs.

The platform is too complicated

You just want to send a newsletter, not learn a new CRM. Pigeon is focused exclusively on email, so everything is where you expect it.

How to switch in 4 steps

1

Export your list

In Mailchimp/MailerLite: go to Audience → Export → Download CSV. Your file will include email addresses and any subscriber names.

2

Create your Pigeon account

Sign up free at pigeon.grim-digital.com. No credit card required for up to 500 subscribers.

3

Connect your domain

Add your sending domain and follow the DNS setup guide. Takes about 5 minutes. Pigeon walks you through every step with clear instructions.

4

Import your list and send

Upload your CSV file directly into Pigeon. Your subscribers are imported instantly. Create your first campaign and hit send.

Common questions about switching

Will my subscribers receive a confirmation email when I import?

No - CSV imports are treated as already-confirmed contacts. Your subscribers won't receive any notification when you switch platforms.

Can I keep my existing email templates?

You can recreate your design in Pigeon's visual builder. If you have HTML templates, you can paste them directly into Pigeon's HTML editor.

What happens to my unsubscribes?

Include an 'unsubscribed' column in your CSV export and Pigeon will skip those contacts automatically during import.

Do I need to re-verify my domain?

Yes - you'll need to add Pigeon's DNS records to your domain. This takes about 5 minutes and our guide walks you through it.
